Proposals for a conversion of a 17c barn in France... currently an open shell, the only features to be maintained are the two large doors to the front elevation. These will have alternative slats removed from their timber structure to allow light through to the living areas when shut, protected from the elements by secondary glazed sliding doors. As we were only permitted roof lights to one side of the barn, internal windows have been provided to the second floor over a double height space around the stairwell to give additional lighting. currently being presented for approval. |
