Gad's Hill

Proposals for a new development of 11, 1 bedroom apartments on Gad's Hill, Gillingham, Kent.

The design, whilst forming a new focal point, aims to sit quietly between the listed building of The Ship and The Four Brothers public houses. Various prominent features from these buildings have been used as levels which govern the many projections and facades of the new building. The material palette of smoked brick and coloured render ensures that not only do the contemporary concepts of facade sit comfortably beside these listed buildings, but fix this building clearly within its surrounding environment of the riverside Gillingham area.

Construction is due to start in July.
